Alaska Bar Association's Unbundled Legal Services Attorney List

Who We Are

The Alaska Bar Association oversees attorneys in Alaska. It provides a list of attorneys who perform unbundled work as a service to potential clients who are looking for "Unbundled" legal services.

Unbundled legal services can also be described as representation for a specific task, rather than retaining an attorney to handle all aspects of a client’s case. These limited attorney's services are much more affordable.

For example, if you received a complaint for a court case in the mail and didn't know what to do next, you could pay an unbundled attorney for an hour or two of their time to explain what the complaint is, what your options are, and even help you consider those options. Then your relationship with the attorney would be over, unless you wanted to pay for more of their time in the future.

For more explanation, see the Alaska Bar Association's Unbundled Legal Services explainer page.

The list is on the Alaska Bar Association website in .pdf format.

The list is updated regularly, it shows the names of attorneys who accept unbundled work, the location of the attorney, and their areas of practice. Remember that an attorney licensed in Alaska can practice anywhere in Alaska, so if you do not need to see the attorney in person, you don't need to find an attorney on the list who lives near you.
